Entry Requirements
Before registering your son or daughter, we strongly recommend that you visit the school to receive a tour of the academic and pastoral facilities and meet the pupils and the Headmaster.
|
Please contact the Headmaster's PA so that we can tailor the visit to your individual requirements. To help us plan the visit, please complete the Enquiry Form that will be sent to you in the prospectus pack prior to your appointment. |
Pre-Prep Department
There are no entry tests at this level. Children are invited in for a period assessment which could be a morning or a day. Places tend to fill quickly so early applications are advised. For more details contact the Headmaster's PA.
Junior Prep
At this level children are again invited in for a period of assessment which could be a morning or usually a day and are assigned a pupil as a mentor for the day. During that time there is a short academic assessment which gives a very good indication that children can cope satisfactorily in a more demanding learning environment. School reports and general school records are also taken into account.
Senior Prep
|
Entry tests for external Year 6 pupils take place in the fourth week in January. Applications throughout the year can also be catered for in a similar way to entry at Junior Prep Level. In January, pupils will be invited to sit tests in Mathematics and English. School reports and general school records are also taken into account. External and internal pupils who do exceptionally well will be considered automatically for an academic scholarship. |

Pupils who pass the entrance test might wish instead to be considered for assessment for Sport and Music Scholarships. Again with suitable internal candidates.
