Mission Statement & Aims
MISSION STATEMENT
We are committed to the provision of a first class, holistic education, in a safe and inspiring environment, accessible to a broad range of boys and girls.
AIMS
Brandeston Hall is a co-educational school which welcomes pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and of differing abilities.
We believe that a holistic approach to education will maximise the potential of each individual pupil, whatever his or her starting point in terms of academic merit. We aim to prepare children for senior schools with the best possible passport in terms of results but know that pupils’ learning potential is maximised when they are stimulated in a variety of ways. Pupils who enjoy a zest for life, who become involved in a range of opportunities outside the classroom, will develop confidence and a sense of purpose which will inevitably impact upon achievement in class. We aim to instil firm values in our pupils, based upon Christian principles but not limited by religion. Within a disciplined structure, respect and concern for others, good manners, self-discipline, responsible stewardship of the environment should be the hallmark of life within our community.
All staff who work in the school must support our aims and be prepared to play a part in each of the three strands of education identified.
-
Encouraging the development of well-rounded, considerate individuals who are aware of their responsibilities to others. (depth)
-
Optimising the academic achievement of each individual. (height)
-
Creating opportunities for all pupils to acquire a wide range of skills and experiences. (breadth)
In this way, Brandeston Hall aspires to offer all its pupils, boarding and day alike, an educational experience which sets us apart from our competitors.
