Activities
Framlingham College is committed to achieving excellence in all aspects of life and offers a broad and balanced programme of extra-curricular activities. All juniors are expected to join at least three activities and choose an activity from each of the SKILL, SERVICE or SPORTING categories.
All Year 9 pupils take part in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award and are also expected to join the Combined Cadet Force which counts as their SERVICE activity. In Year 10 pupils can remain in the CCF or swap to the Framlingham Community Service Programme. Team games' practices after 4pm can also count as a SPORT activity and pupils who do music lessons can use these for their SKILL activity.
Senior pupils are expected to make their own decisions on how much they want to be involved with the activities programme as they have the demands of AS and A2 Levels to consider.
In addition to the weekly programme there are visiting speakers, debates, and musical performances, cultural, educational and recreational visits both here and overseas. The weeks are full in term time and some activities may take place during the holidays in the form of sports tours, expeditions and music tours for those who wish to take advantage of them.
